Re: Marymoor Park

Hey dude, nice grabs!
I quite like the second one. Well, I like all of them. They are all nice.

All the best

Re: Marymoor Park

except for the last grab, I'd say you were intending to shoot The Village 2. :P

Re: Marymoor Park

Cool caps, the first one I almost expect to see Scarlett O'Hara silhoutte as she says "As God as my witness, I'll never be hungry again" or something like that. ;)

Re: Marymoor Park

The First and Fourth are my favorites with the First being a nice choice of composition. Skills.

Re: Marymoor Park

There seems to b e mixed opinion on favorite grabs, which is good. It only shows that all of your grabs are well done because everyone finds something they like in 'em. My favorite one is the 3RD one.. Has that Sleepy hollow and Alice in the wonderland feel. Of course it's totaly different scenario..lol.. I just love the blacks on it and the perspective kicks ass..I can see a headless horseman running out from the end of the tunel. :)

Keep up good work. I hope you can make some little narrative piece out of this..

Re: Marymoor Park

lol my screen was to dark..ok it's not a tunnel but a little dark bush..doh...but if you turn your contrast and brightness down I swear it looks just like it. Btw I really enjoyed all of them...And I just finished watching 'Cold Mountain' and esthetically you're almost whooping its boootey.lol

Re: Marymoor Park

Man, I have looked at them again, and I can't really decid which one is best. For me, they are all nice.

All the best

Re: Marymoor Park

very nice, I like the last one alot and the one with the bridge.
Did u use an anamorphic adapter? I noticed that the images are not 4:3

Re: Marymoor Park

This is hilarious, maybe I should start a poll  :) This also demonstrates the vast difference in how people look at things and what appeals to them. Thanks for the comments.

I particularly liked "The Village 2", Scarlett O' Hara, and headless horseman comments. :D

No anamorphic used, in-camera squeeze, 24pa and then matted to 2:35 ratio.

I'm going to make several trips to this park over the next couple of weeks and put a short piece together.

Re: Marymoor Park

What program do you use to get your frame grabs. Every time I try to grab stills from my dvx footage it looks nothing like the video quality. :(

Re: Marymoor Park

Good question!

I use a screen grab program called SnagIt!. I just select the actual footage in my NLE monitor window and get a screen grab image.. That way, I don't have to worry about the wrong aspect or pixel dimensions that I usually have to deal with when I do a regular frame grab from the NLE itself. SnagIt! allows you to save files in a number of formats.

Works much better for me.

Re: Marymoor Park

Or if you have PS just hit the "print screen" key on your keyboard. Go into PS and select "New". Notice the dimentions are already set. Click OK then paste. Easy as pie....

Re: Marymoor Park

Beautiful work Dis! All beautiful! I love your aspect ratio . . . what is the size in pixel of the remaining window pls?
