Martin Scanlan's "Dig"

The camera sucks because I only heard the score; maybe I should watch again with earplugs and glasses on. Before anyone starts sewing their ski masks to get a deposit on one of these cameras, reassess your investment in audio gear and production.

Now the images look great. But did you see any shot or anything you couldn't have gotten with your S-logged F3s?

Apart from it being 4K and will naturally hold up better in 4K projection.

Fresh off the pixel press:

I really really wish I could have seen this in 4K in Culver City last night]

I was at the Culver City show and they didn't show this. They showed four other shorts that were all vastly inferior to this one. Makes me wonder why they didn't play it, would have wowed us much more. One of the shorts they played was a student short that was terrible and not very well shot, can't believe they played it as a way to "show off" the new cameras. They even said that they shot it mostly with F-3's. Then why the hell were they showing it?

EDIT:
My eyes aren't good enough to distinguish between the ALEXA or the OP's F55 video. When I saw the video all I could really think of was the ALEXA. There might be a slight difference but overall it's very ALEXA-like overall. If someone posted it and said it was ALEXA I wouldn't know it wasn't.

That other video posted amongst the arguing looks nothing like the F55 video. It's not the same at all.

The difference is that it's 1/3 the price of an Alexa/Gemini raw recorder. ;)

All those shorts were finished just in time for the Culver event and Camerimage in Poland. And Dig was commissioned by Sony UK, not Sony USA.

They would have likely had to fiber over Dig at great expense. All the same, they probably should have done just that.
