Hello fellow DVXuser members,
I was wondering if anyone was interested in a group purchase for the intent on a discount for a super mod Marantz PMD 661.
I have emailed Doug at Oade Brother's Audio to see if DVXuser forum users could get the bulk discount price if we had enough people that were interested.
He said that would be no problem.

The minimum we need is 5 people to have the MOD done for the price of $599 which is the same as retail.
Here's the description of the mod from the website:
The Marantz PMD 661 Super MOD upgrade rebuilds the XLR inputs using very high speed, very low noise and super low distortion op amps that dramatically improve low level detail and clarity. Input PCB capacitors are also upgraded. Super low THD+N op amps allow for a very wide SFDR even with signal levels down 50dB. This preserves the signal quality of the highest grade microphones when recording soft signals, like voice, un amplified music, nature sounds and FX.
If anyone is intending on purchasing the Marantz PMD661, getting the MOD done for the same price is an awesome deal IMO.
So, if anyone is interested PM me and I will forward the list to Mr. Doug Oade for us to receive the discount.
I will probably wait until the 4th of Jan for people to respond as I am in need of an recorder.
Thank you!
