C500: Mark II: New project shot during lockdown

Odd.. that file was uploaded last weekend, so it was running at 5k /24 from the beginning. What browser are you using?

Firefox but then I checked Chrome halfway through. Probably something to do with the streaming. As soon as it was over, the options were there.

I refreshed during the stream to see if it would help but 720p was max.

Hmm are you talking about the Facebook Live broadcast.. ? That would be 720p.. unless YouTube does a “stream” premiere, I don’t know what this is (was).

This...it was set up to start at 7pm (your time) like a stream with a chat box on the side. You couldn't fast forward and it was "live".

Then when it was over, the video turned into a normal YouTube link with options.

Did you watch the video when it went live?

This link goes live at 7pm PST (it's a 4k finish that I uprezzed to 5k for youtube - which I think holds the grain better).

No..I was on a facebook live broadcast with the dancers at that time. That would be the first time I've ever done a scheduled youtube premiere. It was really a back up in case the facebook stream flopped, which has happened before. Strange that they would dumb down the premiere like that...and that Youtube studio would make no mention of it when scheduling it. Live and learn. :-)

If they could make it work as well as the Sony FX9 AF works, we'd all be Gold.

I did a shoot a few weeks ago with the three X-T3s, well lit, simple BG, a presenter reading prompter and used the X-T3 face/eye tracking with the latest FW update and it was rock solid, I was very happy.
The X-T3 AF is actually more sophisticated than the C200/300 MKII now as it lets you even choose track right eye or left eye. I used eye tracking on the B camera that was on my XF16mm f/1.4 WR mounted on my Rhino EVO Motion, sliding back and forth and it too
worked flawlessly. I was monitoring all three cameras using the ATEM Mini Pro on a single screen and I kept an eagle eye on both camera's focus the entire shoot as I know AF on all cameras works most of the time but sometimes does weird things.
The third angle was set to manual focus with the Fringer Pro and the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM but that camera was just shooting the product, which wasn't moving. But generally, overall, I have found the Canon AF to be superior to the Fuji but now that I have the
latest firmware on the Fujis, I should do an AF shootout to see which is better for several situations.

It's hard to describe just how dark it was in this shot, made the other night during a scout. All the light in the shot is coming from various architectural lighting sources, from across a very dark street outside this dance studio. I couldn't see her face, but the camera could. Camera was maxed out in terms of sensitivity at 12,800 f1.4 360º shutter and it's still underexposed. but the AF tracked her pretty much spot on. (second grade is close to what it "looked like" in there). I was a little surprised.
