Mark and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Drama

I made the mistake of having this one of the threads that I tracked closely. I was getting so many text messages that it damn near killed the battery on my cell phone!

The last thing that this thread needs is a bump. How about a 100 word minimum post requirement?

Just kidding... This does seem to be the current "fun" place to hang out.

Ted and other TTN peeps:

I had a very good meeting with Kevin and Blaine yesterday. We were able to walk locations and also calibrated the camera. Rob gave us access to both of his hangars and Kevin believes the South one will be best for us to dress and use. We all went up into the Tower and Kevin feels we can get a couple good shots up there. We also found a great place where a concrete access ramp puts you up at almost roof level of the first row of hangars. We got access to a scissor-lift that will let us get a great shot across the runway with the tower and whole surrounding area in frame. Kevin is satisfied that my office will work for the FAA office interior and that leaves us with just needing an interior for the airport operations office. We found a perfect place on site (pacific radio) and hopefully we can schmooze them into letting us shoot there.

I'll get some BTS photos up here on the thread later this evening and, Ted, I'll be PM'ing you with some info then as well.

Sooo, basically, Timur and I are the only DVXUsers NOT working on this film, right?

What? Did Timur resign? He was at our last preproduction meeting. :)

Here's some frames from the walk-trhough Friday at the main shooting location:

shoot ted.... 150 pages and 99% of people are still thinking about hwats they are gonna shoot.....

Haven't been able to keep up with the drama-fest threads, but I see this one has like 155 pages! yes! I'm not going to read this!

Looks like a seriously massive DVXuser team-effort. If I have time, I'm definitely going to come out and check it out.

Good luck and great shooting when the time comes!

COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS!!!! AAAAHHH!!!!!!!!

After 1555 posts, I'd thought I'd pop in.

Have fun on the scissor lift Mark, I recently used one those to take banners down from the soon to be destroyed Charlotte Coliseum. They are a bit wobbly at 30-35 ft. Watch the HVX.

Kyle is a lucky man. I can't wait to hear about the shoot and see some footy!

If you need any vfx help or ANYTHING...

I don't charge much. Just like 400 bucks a shot. ;-)

But seriously, this movie looks awesome and I've heard nothing but good **** from Kyle.

Peace
