Mark and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Drama

Hadn't read the part about your companion card, Mark... that sounds like a good plan. I will do some research over the next few days and try to find out exactly what day each of my finals are. I will probably be able to catch the last couple days of Ted's visit... assuming my finals are done in time. Man, that'd be great.

As for the next visit... I can leave anytime after Christmas. I have a pretty good feeling that Santa will be bringing me the HCW dvd set, so a lot of filmmaking-maturity will transpire when I travel from NE to CA. ;)

Also, I would like to send a shout out to Kevin (Khmuse) and Blaine for their help yesterday! I was in a rut trying to use FCP (I'm a PC based editor) and my buddy Alex J was out of the room at rehearsal... and I was having the toughest time applying filters. Kevin directed me to Blaine, who called me right away. Not only that, but he showed me some pretty incredible tools that FCP boasts in it's CCing abilities. The Multiple edit workspace really helped my out and proved to be ridiculously valuable. So, props to those two guys for being a brilliant example of the community we have here at dvxuser.

Anyways, that's my bit. Thanks!!

Hey Kyle! How are you doing????

You better not get to CA AFTER I leave. I'll be pissed! (I don't want Mark filling your head with a bunch of inside crap! I need to be there to defend myself! Probably too late though....)

And yes, Kevin and Blaine are so great! I am glad that they were of help to you. I may need to hit Blaine up on some CC advice for FCP.

Can't wait to see you, buddy!

Ted: We're going to get Kyle here for part of your December visit and then again for the January shoot. I do intend to fill his head with a lot of crap but it will be non-TTN crap, I promise!

BTW - just watched part of the film "The Station Agent" -- it was on the IFC... and I am having a TON of trouble walking away from it to go to work.

Anyone heard of it? I think it's a beautiful film and I'm completely enthralled with it.
Gonna have to rent it, though.

I very much enjoyed that film and watched it a couple of times. Great cinematography and the lead character is really good IMHO.

Heading to blockbuster to see if I can't find it... hate to go there, but, Lincoln doesn't have all that many sources for Indie films. Or at least, I haven't come across any. I'm sure there are a few.

Good to hear you've seen it, Mark. It was so hard to turn off before it was over but, alas, everyone must pay the mortgage. =)
