We got these costumes from a local Civil War reenactor. Reenacting is a pretty wide-spread hobby and it wasn't hard locating costumes. What was hard was finding a reenactor who would trust us with his gear. :)

Looks like you're way ahead of me. I'm sitting watching another CG sequence render. Next time no special effects.

Alright! Uploaded, awaiting approval. Finally got a poster image on the front page of this thread. Might even post some BTS pics today. I can't wait to get the fest underway and see what everyone else has done!
 
Well done Chris and team. Thought this was a good solid piece based on a very common and little told story about war. Favourite shot was 4.30 ish on the the confederate and the final on this side as he walked away near the end.
 
very nice, Loved the location and wardrobe. Wasn't sure if it was my pc or lag in my connection, but at the beginning the dialogue didnt match up to the shot. But wasn't sure if it was my connection because by the end it did. Did anyone else have this issue?
 
I was a big fan of your Southern gentleman. Well written character and well executed acting. I did feel like I didn't really get full closure on why he was still fighting. I can infer from my knowledge of the history, but I wish the character revealed more of himself. Either way I liked this entry.
 
Very well put together piece. Actors were chosen well and looked like they were into it, which is not always a given. :)
 
Nice opening shots. Really liked the way the song comes in at the end, and the ending sequence. Some of the cinematography looked too composed for me, and not dramatic enough to fit the tone of the story. And the acting of the union soldier IMO needed to be far more subtle -- the overtness of his lines made it challenging for me to get into the period of the piece. Overall though a clean and well put together entry
 
I really liked this piece. I am a civil war buff and thought the acting and sequences of the scenes were great. This was a great entry and I hope to see more films like this in the future. Banjos! That had me sold!
 
Woohoo! I love Civil War stuff, glad to see this! Love the concept, and locations are fantastic. On the costumes, I buy that the yank had perfect wardrobe (having been recently issued it) but the reb's outfits probably should have been trashed, which is hard in that I'm guessing you were borrowing them from a reenactor who doesnt want to see his outfit trashed.
