Manual mode is great, auto mode sucks

I have never understood why anyone would want to ever use auto features on anything other than a 600 dollar camera.

I use both manual and auto focus.

The worst thing about all these prosumer cams is the EVF. It's simply difficult to actually SEE enough fine detail to get sharp focus. Give me a 2" B&W CRT like they have on Betacams and I'd be a happy camper.

I could not agree with you more! 200... no 1000%

The DTL button is the only thing that remotely resembles peaking on the big boys, and I'm being generous here. That being said, I wouldn't be able to pull off good focus quickly without it. I just wished that it was on all the time, instead of having to switch it on each time I turn on my cam. This should be an option in the menu... DTL ALWAYS ON: ON/OFF... or... DTL ON AT START: YES/NO.

I have to agree with both D.R. Gates and Flintstone... The electronic view finder is of little use to me.
The LCD is of no real help when it comes to focusing so I use the focus graph more than anything and focus assist.

If there is one place I think the “150a” needs more work is in the LCD and EVF.
My old as dirt FX-1 is still years ahead of my 150 in that area.
