Have had the t2i for a few months now, bought it because I fell in love with a lot of the videos people had posted here on dvxuser. Figured it was time I bit the bullet and posted some test shots. Shot this last week while in New York for the thanksgiving holiday..

18-135mm kit lens, final cut, mb looks, plus a 6-inch tall mini tripod I picked up for $10 at a local shop.

Any and all comments/criticism would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Werdna! All pans are by hand on that little mini tripod thing. Never though it would be decent at ten bucks but I've used it for so long I guess I've finally gotten the hang of it - was definitely kicking myself the entire trip for not bring my full size though.

MB Looks is Magic Bullet Looks, color correcting plugin I have for FCP.

Thanks for commenting!

this is the tripod by the way, it's tiny

blacks are way too much crushed for my taste

yeah i hear you - above ground it was a styistic cc choice but below ground, especially in penn station, it was really difficult to live with the noise/distortion in the blacks without wanting to crush.

do people just live with the low light distortion in the darks as along as the lit elements are safe? i seem to not be able to
