7D Manfrotto Tripod Head Help

[Bawes]

Got the 547B Tripod and 701HDV Video Head for Christmas. However, it does not have the option to do portrait photography obviously.

Do I need to purchase another head? If so, any suggestions?

Or is there a device that I could put onto the current head or camera to allow me to take portrait shots?

Can you explain what you mean by 'no options' to do portrait photography?

The head doesn't allow me to turn the camera vertical so I can take a photo in the portrait view.

Video heads and photography heads are necessarily different. Buy a photography head, you'll be MUCH happier.

That is what I am looking for, but I do not know what to get. I am not sure if I need a certain head for this specific tripod or not. Got a support book, but it doesn't really explain much and from my Google searching not having much success.

Manfrotto will have what you're looking for next year.

That's a cool device!
