Making a Girl Sandwich with the HMC 150

Shot on a shoestring budget with a Panasonic HMC150, 100% green screen. Hit the 720p button to skip the trashy YouTube compression.

85 shots, all composited in AE. The 150 does a pretty good job, all things considered. Did this nights & weekends (4 months worth) between paying gigs. Wish I'd had more time for cleanup and grading, but this was a freebie.

Video is work-safe, unless you work for mormons, in which case it's not.

Thanks man - it was simply a massive project, but I grew up with the singer and we started swapping ideas over drinks and realized we were cracking each other up (when we shot the "helmet polishing" scene, I ruined the first two takes by laughing so hard it nudged the camera).

I think he spent about $4k on it; costumes and props were under a grand, but we got good talent and a great hair & makeup pro from the retro burlesque scene. Even the "crew" got paid (except for me). My folder for this project is about 3,000 files, from reference grabs and notes to the final edit. Every shot was keyed and every set created in photoshop and AE. My brain hurts thinking about it.

Just have to figure out what to do with the huge box of sexy dresses, nurse uniforms, etc...
