Make the P2 write-UNprotected?

Is there anyway to make the P2 write UN-protected so, whilst in the P2 Viewer I can delete clips, add various notes and whatnot. Can't figure out how to take off the write-protection.
 
Yes, I know that switch.

And at the moment it's in the "non-protect" position and still I cannot delete or add notes or metadata to clips from the card whilst in the P2 Viewer, which I thought was the entire purpose of the P2 Viewer...so one could delete clips from the card (and/or add notes and metadata) before transferring the files to a hard drive.

Any other thoughts?
 
Are you using an SD card reader, or trying to access it while the card is still in the camera? Pretty sure you have to use a reader or card port on your computer--can't do it while the SD card is in the camera..
