Got my 7D. IMO I’m happy with it thus far. Doing lots of tests as we speak. As of now I fill up a cf card then play it on tv and erase. Got three cards two are the same. Not on a site to upload at moment.. The kit lens is fine for now, cant wait to settle on a wide one. Have not purchased final cut studio 3 yet but intend to with in a few months.
It was really hard for me to choose what to get, hesitated for so long. Love matte paintings so at the very least its intended to build plates for bigger films that I’m part of in the future.
Made excuses for many years not to buy a camera and wait for the perfect one, and now I realize more so then before that its better to film somthing then nothing. Ccd, cmos or film to me at the moment does not matter give me a one chip and you will get a film from me. Tomorrow there will be a better camera, but I wont be a better film maker unless im making moving pictures today. Price, shorts, experience, a reel, and back ground plates is what this will be used for by me.
IMO If you gave me a chance to be a better filmmaker then any one individual person within ten hours and you gave me any cam over two hundred and ten dollars and they had a camera of there choice and if the win would be a huge, yes you could tell the difference but the film that would win would be the one with the most heart.
