My software keeps saying my HMC footage is not orginated from a panasonic camera. How do I fix this so it will transcode the footage so I can edit it?

Have you copied to your hard drive all the files on the card including the root folder PRIVATE?

If no, to this first.

You need all the files and folders. But you can rename the root folder after that.

yes i did this. I actually deleted a couple of clips out of the stream folder, is there a file I need to change with note pad or something?

I could be completely wrong on this but I don't think you can delete anything from that STREAM folder.

I hope someone will correct me, but this could be the case.

It has to be intact... just like it was on the card, or you will get this error message. Maybe there is an "old school" hack to get around that... but so far, the easiest method is to not tamper with the folder structure and its' contents

ah screw it, Im just gonna bring it into CS4 and render it out as DVCPROHD. I may be able to edit it next week when my new Core i7 desktop comes in. These older quad cores struggle a bit with AVCHD 1080p

A: Choose "all clips at specified folder" - you can not change/delete the files & structure of the folder

B: Choose " select clips" - you can select any clip you want to transcode. the folder structure must be intact. (deleted files are fine)
