I haven't decided whether or not I truly find this idea useful.
As a customizable option, along with the cage for the Red Camera, there should be an option for extremely strong magnet to attach to the bottom - such as these:
Neodymium Magnets
These magnets would allow the camera to hold its weight while sticking to any type of metal surface.
I don't know how helpful it wouold be, but it could work for some really interesting POV's.
Imagine how easy mounting a RED to the hood of a car would be... with strong magnets it would be hard to take it off. It wouldn't be probable for things such as highway chase scenes, but for dolly work or anything like that it would be sweet.
