Magical Orb

Brand new to editing and film. Here's a first attempt at trying to add an effect. I just started this week. This is a test for an upcoming short I'm going to be shooting where my niece follows an orb and is transported to an alternate reality in an isolated house. I write children's sci-fi/fantasy. I think I feathered the spheres out too much and maybe I could have rotoscoped some of the black edge for a better line.

I'm a total newbie. Any advice would be helpful.
