Magic Lantern for T3i - time frame?

If the internals are basically the same between the T2i and T3i, does this mean the T3i should be able to use the current Magic Lantern release? If not are they close enough that it will only be a short time before the T3i gets Magic Lantern?

Won't be able to use the T2i ML on the T3i. And only one man knows when/if it will be released. I'm guessing it won't be released for the T3i, as it would take too much development time for a camera that is already so similar to the T2i. My $0.02.
 
I guess it all depends on whether the firmware is encrypted (like on the 7D) or not

and I think nobody knows that yet
 
Thanks a1ex!!! I assume this release is just to set the bootflag and doesn't actually add any functionality to the camera yet?

Right. This was the difficult part.

Next steps are easier, but a developer with a camera is required.
 
I've got the camera part covered. Can build anything with a CNC and solid modeling software. Code cruncher, not so much :)
