T2i Magic Lantern for 550D in progress!

its not me but this tut is good ,dont be afraid to install mlantern, people did it wrong way ,worst possible way and nobody bricked or damaged their cams.

Sweet, working perfectly - except one thing. Does anyone else have the Magic Lantern Menu flicker a bit when toggling back and forth? Probably normal, but I just wanted to make sure.

There is no way to save the functions set in the menu after turning OFF/ON camera either, right?
Wrong, it's in the manual...

Open up the ML menu (trash can button)
press the right or left arrow button to the "Debug" menu.
Press down or up to highlight "Save config" and press the "Set" button.

Note: certain settings are not saved, such as the QScale setting.

Well, except for the cropmarks and the ISO values I haven't any use for it. Maybe the installation routine will get easier, I only have a mac. Hope they will integrate white balancing too.

Anyone who's done it experience having to fight with swapping cards and power? eg: I'm shooting and its time to swap cards, I open / swap cards, and i have to spend like 5 minutes cutting off and on the camera before it comes back up. Its ridiculous.

I ended up flashing with 1.09 and getting it 'back to normal', but I did like the zebra/histogram. I'm going to wait a little bit, but would like to know if anyone else experienced the powering issue I had.

Just installed ml and its awesome, but I dont think I got the newest one because I have no options for ISO. Can anyone link me to the file with the iso adjustments? I downloaded one, but dont know what to do. Do I just replace the autoexec and bmps on my sd cards with the ones in the new folder? I did that, but nothing changed.

Just installed 1.09 and the latest version of ML. NICE!! I love the histogram. The zebras are nice and I'll use them, but I like the histogram more. Crop marks are great and I plan on customizing my own. I always wished that the grid would stay on while recording, now I can make it happen. I can get a much more precise exposure with the expanded ISO settings. Audio, of course is a plus. For the price, this lil camera is freakin awesome!!

I am so close to having ML... I just can't seem to get EOScard to run successfully. I run windows 7 with Norton, and I've tried excluding it from Norton/turning norton off and it didn't seem to work. It just silently fails, even when I run as admin. Any ideas??

After you install the ML firmware, go to THIS LINK. Do step 1 and step 2. Then put the newest ML files on the card. You should be good.

okay I did the steps on the website you showed me and it says i have the bootable files on the disk...but I can't actually find them on the disk to make edit them for my Fat32. I can't seem to find the option to reveal hidden folders, but is that the issue?

Okay nevermind got it working... but I'm confused as to the whole update process. If you just copy the newest autoexec over, will it have all of the previous updates? I thought I would have to go in and do 5 updates but if you just keep replacing the autoexecs it doesn't keep the other updates... So is it a pick and choose type deal or does it just get more and more added onto it each update

You would simply autoexec.bin and the magic.cfg files. Everything will be updated.
