trying to figure out how the audio works in magic lantern. the magic lantern -12 is red and sounds distorted and -20 is green and clean.
im used to trying to land in the -12-6 dB range for the sweet spot in audio recording but magic lantern levels seem to be different. im guessing the -12 and -20 on the 60D dont mean dB.
can some one shed some light?
tonite i have my first gig with the 60D rather then my 7D two system set up with zoom and wireless mic. so for saftey im still going to record with the zoom and send the zoom line out into the 60D. basically with the idea hit -12-6ish with the zoom like im used to and just try and hit green with the 60D. I did some tests and brought them into fcp and it showed my audio at about -12 around with the magic lantern-20.
