Made in China batteries

Hey all- I was looking for extrra "backup batteries" for my 7D, and came across the following:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390173368737&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

(2 Chinese made 7D Li Iion batteries + charger + car adapter for a bit over $20.)

I wouldn't want to depend on these for primary use, but for backup, they seem fine, and I would love to have the car adaptor for my Airstream.

My concern? That they might leak crap all over the battery compartment of the 7D, or some other malfunction that may affect the camera.

Anyone else using these batteries? How well do they hold a charge?

They're generally fine, but they can occasionally be flaky. They shouldn't harm your camera, but the camera will not be able to communicate with the battery, so the charge meter won't function.

I personally swear by cheap, generic batteries as back-ups.

I bought a couple of these batteries off Ebay, they were rated 2500mAh. I took them out for a 'video' test and was surprised to find each one lasted over 2hrs continuos filming. My Canon battery doesn't last anywhere near that long.
Oh, I'm going to buy 4 more and just 1 more Canon... and then the originals will become the backups.

You guys can't get 2 hours out of the Canon batteries?

I havent shot continuous ..but mine last pretty long.
I still need spares though.
