Mad Libs or ACTUAL lines from a movie/show...

"Why are shape-shifting soldiers from another universe stealing frozen heads?"

I died laughing when I heard this, 'cause even in context (and yes there is a context for this) it still sounds absurd

From Fringe Season 2 Episode 4
I like to wait till the season is over and watch shows that have an ongoing arc back to back and I just started season two of Fringe.
What a classic line, leave it to something JJ Abrams is producing for pushing envelopes like this, I envy his life sometimes :)

Despite the angry, pitchfork lynch mob outside his house demanding Lost answers?

Yeah. Thanks, JJ, for explaining:

- The polar bear
- WTH Dharma really was.
- The secondary Dharma site in the unspecified desert... with another friggin' polar bear
- How the island was initially discovered in the first place (by the unknown Dharma benefactor)

Yeah... no major omissions at all.

Or did I just reveal my true inner-geekness?

Dude they were constantly pulling crap out of their butts! And when they didn't have the budget or whatever to pull off some of the stuff; the Polar bears got yanked and the mysterious monster that was knocking down half the forest and ate the pilot turned into CGI smoke, that's when I knew they were winging it! I saw in their farwell pre-show where Linus was only supposed to be on for 3 episodes and he turned into a central antagonist. They just went with the flow and sure it created a TON of plot holes but they sure do know how to string along an audience. That's the true testemant to greatness IMO, pulling the audiences chain and leaving them wanting MORE!

That was the episode that they killed off Anna Lucia and Libby due to their drunken joy-riding on Hawaii (that last part was their actual lives). Michael killed them and set Ben free. I wonder if they hadn't been joy-riding, if Ben would have actual just been cast for 3 episodes, and what direction the show could have taken.

Only one mystery from Lost really remains:

How is it possible that Hugo did not lose weight? Yes, they had canned goods for awhile but that didn't last. Dude was walking just as much as everyone else, drinking only water and eating fruit and plants.

EXACTLY! I thought that every time I watched an episode, that dude is the LEAST COMMITED actor of all time LOL

He had to stay the same size, otherwise the flashback scenes would not work.

I just kinda assumed that the Polar Bears were some of the animals that escaped from the dharma Zoo that jack kate and sawyer were kept in.

Good point about Hugo, the Polar Bear thing just seems like they wanted a super-badass start to the show with all sorts of cratures and monsters but had budget or other issues, scrapped it and came back with a tidy explanation later on. I like the direction the series took after the pilot, more about character development and spirituality. I probably wouldn't have watched it if it was about monsters and crap.

Couldn't his change in weight have been a factor in determining their shooting schedule? Or are you saying that viewers would have used his changes in girth like bread crumbs?

To be honest, I lost all interest in the show when it was originally on, watched the first 3 or 4 episodes and just couldn't get into it. I only got back into it when it was available on netfilx instant view and I could watch the whole season one episode right after the other. I still haven't seen anything from the final season and probably won't until its available either on Netflix or DVD.

Actually that's how I got into it, I watched seasons 1-4 back to back (not continuously of course LOL) Then I would dvr a few episodes and watch 2 or 3 at a time of 5 and 6. That show is so cockamamie at times it's the only way I could enjoy it.
