Macro len advice???

For use on a fs700 with a metabones Mk 2 adapter. Not sure which way to go???? Anyone ever use either with 700/Mk2 combo?

IS work? AF work? Iris work? I couldn't find anything on the metabones site about either lens.

Or....any advice about any glass of this type/range.
 
Thanks Gene I rented a Canon L 2.8 recently from Borrow lenses .com and that's where I kinda fell in love with the images I was getting. The price was a bit high for purchase on the Canon and most (if not All) the reviews I read said these 2 lens' were almost as good or better than the Canon (IQ wise) so I was looking for something cheaper price wise. I just dropped a lot of cash for a 7Q, disks, and batt mount plate so $ is kinda short right now.
My big concern was iris adjustment on these 2 lens'. While I don't care toooo much if the IS or AF works, No iris adjustment with my 700/Mk 2 combo would be a killer for me.

Just trying to get some feedback from those that have use either of these lens.
 
I haven't tried your two other lenses to do a comparison... But I will put out a really good word for the Canon 100mmIS f/2.8L... Purely for its life-saving IS. I use it all the time to get handheld 24p & 60p shots of athlete's faces/eyes before starting a run, hands gripping bars, feet on pedals, boots in ski bindings... It's a well-used lens!

**I recall there is a bit of vignetting when on the Speedbooster/FS... But I like it, as it fits well for the shots I get, and looks really natural (vs done in post)
 
I have the Sigma 105 Macro and I am really happy with its performance.

I went another route with my SONY FS700 and bought the LA-EA4 and the Sigma 105 Macro alpha mount. My lens is the Sigma 105 DG MACRO HSM with Optilcal stabilizer. And yes auto focus work perfect with this lens on the Sony FS700.

great shots Asger. Did you use AF for them? I heard that the LA-EA4 and alpha mount works only with full open aperture? You shots seem to have more depth of field that I would expect at open aperture.

Thanks Clermond. Yes all shots are made with manual focus. I do like having the option for AF for sport etc. Especially for fast moving action shots. But do you guys know if there an option in the FS700 that can be set to AF on moving objects? I have heard rumor that the new Sony A77 2 has this feature built into the camera.
