Mac native P2 editing -- Media100

FCP hasn't done it (yet, at least), but it looks like Media 100 has. Media 100 is back, with a software-only version of their editor, and it's Mac-only. It allows direct editing of P2 files straight off the cards, no conversion or import process necessary. Here's a review from Creative Cow:

Wow... Its been a long time Media 100 - long time. (tear) I only wish it was media 200 Another option for the mac unless you load boot camp and edius.

Looks like a nice little program. But it would have to be really kickass to get me off of FCP.

A couple of things.

1. This is not yet a UB/Intel application. That's not expected for at least 60 days.

2. I believe that the MXF results in a sequence codec that is Media100. Not certain of that, and not certain whether you need that codec to work with the files in other apps.
