M2 _ DVX100 samples

Really cool images and editing. That was shot with the 100? I'm amazed more & more everytime I see clips like these, on what this camera can achieve! How about CC?

awesome stuff! This really stood out to me visually. Definately some of the better stuff that i've see on here with an adapter. :)

Nice footage, very sharp indeed. I think @0.36 with the tilt down from the sky, you can see the grain from the spinning GG as an arc running along the direction of rotation:

I expect the SLR lens was stopped down, though, as this can happen when shooting something bright like a sky.

Also, the first few shots on the station platform, there is alot of flickering, was that intentional or a dirty GG, as that would also explain the above grain.

ooops just got it to open now...
the flicker at the bottom of the stairs was a little unpleasant, and i did notice the arc of the gg in the sky shot....if it weren't for these, the thing looks fantastic--amazing editing and cc!!

Hi Michal,

Awesome work. When you have time, can you provide more details (what lenses did you use, what settings on the dvx, etc.)? Also, did you use a UV filter on the lens?

I just got an M2 and I'm learning as we speak.

Thanks.

wow very cool, i watched it like 8 times in a row. I still think most everything looks great...was the flickering done in post maybe? Well, to me the flicker in the inside of the house I didn't mind so much but the outside/patio flicker slightly bothered me.
Thanks for sharing the footage!

i had low battery in adapter and old GG that's why you see flickering.
Yes - sky footage was shoot @f22 and maybe i added too much sharpen filter :)

Camera: Panasonic AG-DVX100E [first, old model]

Lenses:
Canon 50mm/1:1.4,
Canon 28-55mm/1:3.5-4.5,
Tamron 70-300mm/1:3.8-5.4

Wow. Great images and editing. The m2 footage i've been seeing lately has been really impressive. Look forward to seeing more from you.

Michal, could you enlighten us to your sharpening treatment, or is that a secret recipy?
:)

Thanks!

That's not a secret:

after effects> effect> blur&sharpen> sharpen>5
and i speeded it up.

Try to make the same footage on other 35mm converters.
set f22 on 35mm lens, record about 1hour and speed it up....

Awesome footage!

Awesome footage!

I really liked these shots. Was the intro a bike wheel spinning and mirrored to the side? That was good. What music was that? It sounds familiar...
