Debbie Downer strikes again.

You can get a 20mm nikkor or canon at f2 for $200. This wasnt worth $400, and isnt worth $330

Autofocus is important to me as is the compact size. Attach an adaptor then the Canon or Nikkor glass to the end of that and you have something far larger than I want.

With this lens I get what I want. And it's $70 less that it was before.

Autofocus, small size, amazing sharpness (better than Nikon or Canon, no joke.)

In addition, I don't know where you were finding brand new Nikkor/Nikon 20mm f/2 for $200 but a new Nikon AF 20mm f/2.8 (which in terms of features, useable or not, would be the closest to this, auto focus, and new not used) goes for around $550 and is a stop and a half slower.

the aliasing is the worst when the lens focuses tack sharp. ive been applying fast blur effect cuz the pancake gave too sharp video. but that smeared details too much.

as lpowell recommended, i got a tiffen black diffusion fx filter #3. it has lots of tiny black dots... at first i thought it was a protective film and tried to remove it. haha. although it didnt get rid of aliasing completely, it smoothed out some "ugly" details that i rather not see. the filter doesnt make the lens to be nikkor 20mm ai-s, but it definitely adds a bit of old lens look that i prefer. also the filter smoothed out the skin tone. good news for my aging friends whom i take candid shots. but the filter creates flare... just like any other filters. no plan to use a hood on it.
