GH4 Lumix 12-35mm Out of Stock?

I use the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-45mm f3.5-5.6 with my GH4. It's very sharp - very nearly as sharp as the 12-35 and used copies are only $150-175 on ebay. It's not as fast as the 12-35, has Mega OIS instead of Power OIS and its not as wide, but has longer reach. Gives me very sharp video outdoors on sunny days and the Mega OIS is reasonably stable.
 
Still hasn't shipped. For anyone counting it's now been out of stock for 8 weeks, at least that I know of. B&H still says they expect shipment on August 15th.
 
Man I have been waiting forever for this lens. Almost pulled the trigger a few times on the Voigtlander 17.5 f/0.95 but am thinking I will wait util the 12-35 f/2.8 is out.

I have the same lens and it is very good for the money. Smart choice if you don't want to spend 1K on the 12-35.
 
Any reason why folks aren't going for the Oly 12-40mm, which is just as good as the 12-35mm, except for lack of OIS?

Well August 15th came and went without a word from B&H. Now their product listing just says "Backordered" again.

I placed an order with Amazon a month ago and it said "shipping in 2 - 4 weeks". No word from them either.

Is anyone getting their Lumix 12-35mm orders fulfilled currently?
 
Could it be that a new revision coming? maybe they're fixing the micro jitters of the OIS, is me just guessing.
 
We have ONE Panasonic H-HS12035 12-35mm lens that arrived today that's available:

Still not sure why they are trickling in so slow.
 
Does anyone knows if that lens had revision in its life time? I have a deal for buying this few years old lens for gh4, should I watch out for some issues?
