Lumix 100-300mm lens

Have I missed a thread about this lens? just became available recently - anyone got it?

I haven't had much chance to use mine yet - but first impressions are... excellent build quality... big... but not compared to 600mm equivalent lens for DSLRS :) and pics look fine. Should get some video done tomorrow if the surf is up.

All pics done today - all hand held except for moon shot.

OK - not a great day out... and flippin cold! Wife took a very short vid before running for the warmth of the car.

I think the footage looks OK - maybe not quite as sharp at 300mm - but very good?

Anyway - hope that helps if anyone was considering this lens. I think it is ideal for sports / birds / wildlife in a small relatively cheap package.

 
Nice stuff! Really digging the moon shot. And the video is great too. Too bad the lens is only f4.0-5.6. We really need some fast zooms for Micro Four Thirds.
 
I was gonna post that video myself Joe... it's beautiful.

Damn I wish the GH1 could do the crop for videos too :(
 
The very first time I heard about the GH1, I was almost certain it was going to get it. Better late than never although that will force me to upgrade my GH1. Still, the updated auto focusing is another reason why I need to upgrade
