Hello all,
Up for sale are two LTM 1200w HMI's with magnetic ballasts. I bought three of these for a project that didn't end up happening and am now selling off two of them and keeping the third.

Both lights are in good working condition and I'm including a set of good bulbs, ballasts and barn doors for each light.

Asking $800 USD plus shipping per light. Shipping shouldn't be more than $150 - $200 per light within the US and Canada

Payment via Paypal is preferable.

Please find photos of the lights here:

Do I need a ballast for these or can they be run on straight AC power? Do they include fresnels or filters?

The op hasn't replied, so if he'll excuse me for answering your first question...

Yes, you need a ballast. To my knowledge all HMI's require a ballast (though it may be separate, as with most HMI production lighting, or onboard). However, there's usually a number of ballast options (magnetic, electronic, power factor corrected, one for AC, one for DC, one from the maker of the head, one from a third party, etc.).

He mentions good ballasts, so I was wondering if they had internal built in ballasts. I admit I'm not an expert on lighting equipment. I understand lighting design, but am from a photography background when it comes to production, so I'm learning about this kind of equipment. Thanks for the answer.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for not getting back to you all sooner. I was on a shoot all day and just got home. Anywho, to answer your questions:
- the magnetic ballasts weigh about 60 lbs each. The lights themselves are probably about 20 - 30 lbs (approximately).
- I'm located in Thunder Bay, Ontario
- The HMI's use a magnetic ballast and can be plugged into and operated off of a standard 20amp circuit.

Let me know if I've answered all your questions.
