C100: Love this camera

We just released a mini doc I shot / edited for a great group of people from all over the USA.

I got my C100 back in May and I think it may just be the best camera I've ever owned. As most people have said.. it's a shame there is no slow motion option at all.. but that keeps the 7D going strong.

But this was all shot with the C100.. my main lens was a the original Canon 24-70 and some shots with an old Manual Nikon 300 f2.8.

All shot in Wide DR.

Now just give me some 720p60 Canon and I'll love you forever.. I swear ;)

Looks lovely :)

I too love the C100, but i do find myself getting frustrated at times when doing observational shooting. Not being able to do slow crawling smooth zooms, and not having one all round lens (17 - 130mm constant f.28 would be perfect etc I've had to rethink my shooting style which does get annoying. But for more set up shooting its A+

Agree. Stop worrying about 60P. Shoot 60i and drop in and slow down footage.

In any case, nice footage.

Ah but in my case the C100 is literally the perfect camera for the work I do except for it's lack of slow motion... 60i slowed down doesn't cut it in my opinion.. looks very soft. Might as well just use my 7D in that case.

I do use slow mo a lot.. so kinda sucks.. but really.. at the end of the day I can get by without. The C300 is just too far out of my price range to justify for things I do.. though.. it would be nice.

You watched this right? Looks pretty good to me and some of the tests I've done playing with the 60i is by far sharper than the 7d's 720/60p.

This was quite well done also, particularly the way you handled the harsh lighting conditions. But everything about it was quite well done, the angles, composition, the slo-mo.
