C300: Love is Everything

While "love is everything" I hate the reverb.

Thanks for the feedback David! No love for verb level, type of verb (using PP CC (agree they are not the greatest), could use Logic X (has much better verbs, a bit more work to produce)), or prefer no 'verb at all?

Are you shooting these, JCS?
I've never been a fan of putting key lights on both sides of the camera, my only criticism. Looks like a binary sun.

Hi Bill, yeah from Peter Hurley lessons on beauty shots, building a ring of diffuse light- there are 3 key lights, left right center, a light below into a reflector, and a hair light (plus lights for green screen). Space is currently limited- would prefer bigger lights and diffusers. Diffuse light is easiest to match to whatever gets used for the background. Open to suggestions to improve the look. Thanks for the feedback!

She's young and attractive so you don't have to work very hard to make her look good.

To create a little shape, try keeping a soft light above/left of the lens (since that's where she parts her hair). Don't use any lights on the opposite side unless it's a passive return like bead board. Bias the backlight to the SAME side as the Key light (in keeping with the feeling of a single wrappy source). In fact you may want to put a solid on the fill side, then see what's needed.

This may be all you need. If you feel the need, float in a foamcore under her chin for fill (may not be necessary).

Cheers.
