Losing the end of Clips in FCP

So I just had a great shoot yesterday. I Log and Transfer'd all my footage in FCE, I loose the last 5 seconds of my clips. In the viewer for the Log and Transfer page, it shows the end of clip, but it doesn't import it.

Why not?

using apple avchd codec.

macbook 2.1 core duo, running leopard 10.5.8, upgraded from 1 to 2.5 gbs of ram.

don't know what is wrong with it.
