looks one way vs another

When I shot some footage on the t3i I download it onto my computer and played the footage back and it look pretty good with the colors etc.... BUT when I pulled it into Vegas Pro 9 and render it out to see how it would look it didn't look as great. I was wondering why is that?

your vegas workflow is not optimal, you're doing something that kills the footage - what are you exporting to? what kind of "didn't look as great" did you see?

could it be the gamma shift of the MOV container? I never look at my recorded files before loading them to the editor, so maybe it's happening to me too and I haven't even noticed - wouldn't be a problem, since all I care about is that what I see in the editor and what I get after rendering looks the same

Not sure but I notice a big differences between the two. As soon as it is in vegas you can see the differences. I shot footage of the river/water fall and everything was outstanding as I was watching the footage on my computer but when I placed it into the timeline to trim it down and see how it looks it had changed and doesn't have that look anymore. I'm in a small town in New Zealand filming and this was one of our test shots before going out there with the crew to film. My internet isn't really good so I'm not able to upload the two footage for you to see the differences. If I get to a different location I will try again to see if I can upload.

uploading a couple of screenshots could be enough
also: if it's the gamma mov thing, adding a gamma adjustment in vegas should solve the issue (or most of it)
