Looking to upgrade

I have been examining all my options in terms of upgrades. I currently use a Cannon HF 200 and I am looking for a camera that has the following requirements.

1. Manual control which allows for slow motion or speeding up footage.

2. Can handle a Rodevideo mic w/o a cold shoe adapter.

3. Budget under $1000.

Do you think the Canon HF20 would fit my requirements?

only you know what your requirements are. if the Hf20 looks like it will fit your needs, then buy it. Not much else to add really.
