[WTB] Looking to upgrade from DVX100 to HD

Depends on what you shoot. Run and gun shooting? Go with one of Panasonic's 1/3" sensor cams - some great ones coming that were at NAB. Wanna shoot Cine style? Then go with an AF-100 or GH2.

Looking to shoot more mini-docs and company bios then films. Love the DVX100 but wish I had the 100b that went in the lake. The GH2 sounds interesting and I read up on it last night. Hadn't really thought about a DSLR/Video hybrid. But I guess that is where all the cameras are headed.

If you love the DVX100 (which I did as well) and simply want to move into HD for the purpose you defined, then definately go with something like a used HMC150. Uses cheap SD cards, great HD, functions a LOT like the DVX100. Of course, shooting on a GH2 will be cheaper but you'll have to work with focus more due to DOP of the lenses and course you'll have more headaches regarding capturing good audio etc...

But this probably isn't the place for this discussion.

I'm more of a videocam guy and haven't jumped on the DSLR bandwagon that seems to have left the station. The HMC150 seems like an option as does the HVX200 and the Sony HVR-HD1000U. Which would recommend?

HMC-150. I have two of them and I come from using two DVX100Bs. Love the 150. Will be purchasing another one later this year.
