Looking to buy a DSLR for video.

Down side is the after market batteries don't show % remaining (so I hear)
I haven't had any problems with mine. I got them on ebay, paid 25 bucks for two of them, and have had no issues with them. They run slightly shorter than the Canon brand, but they display just fine and everything.

Are you using a 3rd party battery grip?

I was going to order the following off b&H..

-Canon BG-E8 Battery Grip &
-Canon LP-E8 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 1120mAh)

Does anyone know of anything else I should buy?

There are a lot of topics here about this. Search or spend a few hours browsing through the forum.

LCDVF 3/2 <---- Just picked up one from glidetrack. There is also an ebay version here somewhere that is cheaper.
