Just wanted to see how people are mounting their 80-200mm Nikon zoom or any other
large/ heavy /with adapter (F mount to m43, or any other combo) to there GH1 and tripod with matte box.
Ok here's what I've been doin:
1) 1 bought an extra DV501 tripod plate attached the 80-200mm directly leaving the camera hangin' and bought a clamp on Matte box wt 77mm adapter for my 4x4 filters.
This is a well balanced/ pretty secure
I wasn't crazy about the weight on the filter thread on the lens hold the filters and box
and don't like the fact the camera is hangin loose wt adapters with out supports.
2) I bought a redrock lens support and mounted Camera and lense to Hotrod Camera mount and matte box to the 15mm rod system.
Ok this more secure, but even heaver and time consuming and not real balanced on the tripod (front heavy>)
I looking for people who have a Here's what I done and works for me response.
