FEATURE: Looking For Indie/Microbudget Films.

I support Indie and Micro budget films wholeheartedly. It helps me get ideas and suggestions when I do my film. With that said I am looking to build my collection, I 've gotten a few films and looking for more. Action,Horror,Science Fiction, Fantasy, Thriller, are my genres featuring females heroines either in lead or secondary roles. I also have connections to several good blogs, message boards, so I will gladly give your film a SHOUT out. Help boost it some you never know who goes to those boards and blogs. A friend of mine got a distribution deal from Maverick by someone who viewed the site and had a distribution contact. I can either purchase or help promote either option. It is more a personal thing I like seeing others films helps give me some ideas when I start my film project shortly. But I can also help promote as well as I know some very viable sites that get countless hits daily not just those sites that are sleeping or dead

This would help get the filmmakers film the recognition and publicity it needs.

Not really your genre, but here is the trailer for our family adventure comedy.

It was shot for about ten thousand dollars and has been in several film festivals, it won Best Film at the Melbourne Independent Film Festival (Melbourne Florida). We are looking for distribution and have DVD's available for ten bucks.

Knightblaze is this a personal thing or your line of work? Can you tell me more about yourself in a pm? Thanks - Tarek

Kind of suprised out of 79 views only 2 replies. Isn't this what Indie/Microbudget filmmaking is about supporting each other and encouraging but maybe I'm wrong. I have to say some Indie stuff I've seen is very impressive.
I've been trying to get a friend of mine who did a decent action film on Microbudget (It was a school project) to try and get it out there but he's being modest saying it's not good enough and stuff. Others have suggested it to him as well. A few friends were talking about there are Comic-Cons and other conventions and such. Why not an INIDE-MICRO CON, dedicated totally to Indie/Micro filmmaking. It could also serve as a market for filmmakers to market their products to the public and maybe some Industry people. For a low cost, like between $25-100 a vendor could get a table booths would be a little more between 200-300 and such. This will encourage more because the costs won't be so high. Maybe get sponsors, and hold it either in a hotel or such, invite a few guest speakers and hold some workshops it will be something really benefical for all involved. As to where this would be held I'm thinking have a start in NY and go from there. Of course this all wishful thinking right now but possible some strong consideration if there is enough interest.

My action flick Leap: Rise of the Beast. A Bourne-esque action film that was the first feature length film to use just a kit lens on the T2i and the first feature to use Colorista Free in the grade. facebook.com/leapmovie
If you're intrigued, I'll send a screener.

Well, we were micro budgeted, shot on Sony EX1 and picked up by Lionsgate. Would still enjoy a shout if you care to give us one.

It's a Hip-Hop Drama called "Step Off" (now Beat Battle for foreign) available on Netflix, through Amazon, Target, Walmart, iTunes, etc.

here's some information about it all www.battlethemovie.blogspot.com

Thanks,

Martin

Hey KNIGHTBLAZE,

Me and my partner are trying to find more places to advertise our independent feature film. It's not really the genres you are going for, but you would really make our day if you helped us out! What a great deed you're doing! Here is our campaign page for the film.

See some new posts but wondered if you had helped promote any of these projects. Would love an update to the shoutouts on blogs etc. that you may have made.

Let us know, Knightblaze.

Thanks,

Martin

Science Fiction with a girl heroine right here! Trying to receive funding at the moment , but in the video you will see our lead female. We are college students entering this in the Burbank and Palm Springs film festival. Check it out, anything is appreciated, http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fliplink/a-fatal-occurance . All info is on the kickstarter. Has a "Cabin fever" type cast and feel, we will be filming in some Idyllewild cabins in the summer . In the video there's lots of samples of what we are influenced by.
