If Phelps could have done this sooner I would have been able to pull off the ultimate Doritos commercial for the superbowl to win the $1 million!

Seriously, the guy should be able to have some fun if he wants and Doritos or Oreo's or Captain Crunch could make millions off of this by making people laugh. :Drogar-Smoke(DBG):
 
Everybody smokes weed. If you're under 21, it's easier to buy weed than alcohol hahaha. I'm surprised that anybody cares.
 
The news was bashing him. I think it is great for an American to have 11 gold medals and smoke weed. Makes all the other countries look like slackers / amateurs.

But damn, I could have made the best Doritos commercial from this.
 
Everybody does not smoke weed. If he wants to smoke he should do it in private. He is arguably the greatest olympian of all time and like or not a role model to kids, Not to mention the millions of dollars in endorsements he could lose. He needs to be more responsible in my opinion. Weed is not too bad, If he were shooting dope then I would have a real problem with that.

It could have been one funny doritos commercial though.
 
Professional athletes use all kinds of drugs to enhance performance and I guess that most title celebration partys end up pretty drunk - but of course smoking weed sends out the wrong message to the youth of today (pun intended, anyone get it...?:))

And Chip, lets see your commercial!
 
I have always been very anti drug but let the kid blow some steam off. I don't think it's as big of a deal as the media is making it out to be.

Good thing they don't test NBA players for weed.
 
You know who are good role models? Parents.

If he loses endorsement money, then he loses endorsement money. Who cares?

I certainly wouldn't want to live under a microscope all the time. It's probably the reason he
needed to smoke a little grass. That, or maybe have a little fun.

The dude won the most medals ever, and people expect him to be superhuman in all elements of his life, like he owes them something.

If you need to depend on celebrities to guide you or your kids, then you gots your own problems.
 
I have actually heard that many Olympians, especially runners, used to take a hit just before a race as it enhances your lungs ability to absorb more oxygen. Anyway, on the scale of things, I think weed if far less damaging to your health and society than alcohol is.

Yeah, the hard core weed-head usually only hurts himself. Alcoholics usually hurt everyone around them.

I know. But the way it was phrased made it sound like all kids should look to their parents for guidance. What if their parent is an idiot, or worse, abusive? Having societal role models can be valuable.
