I know there's a temptation to be the one with the "best" answer but you should relax a bit. First people who start such threads often don't tell you what they're doing or supply enough information. Further more they often want to do something non-standard that doesn't make sense. Finally in this type of field you need to be resourceful enough to figure out your own answers. Usually the person already knows what they want to do and are going to do that despite getting the best advice one could possibly imagine.

So just say what your best practice is and don't make it into a competition.

I wasn’t singling anyone out that tends get them defensive.

I’m guilty of the same thing. You have decades of experience and knowledge and are itching to share and help others. But goes sideways when have room full of ppl competing to have their advice to be heard.

Peter, I don't know what your point is or why you decided to post. Are you saying we're not supposed to offer advice or ask for more information to clarify the question being asked by the OP? And the more "experience and knowledge" someone has, the less they are supposed to share? That makes no sense. Your posts that are basically telling other people to pipe down seems odd when the discussion is still squarely focused on the topic at hand.

Further more they often want to do something non-standard that doesn't make sense.

And if they're doing that, then it makes sense we figure out what it is and let them know about better ways to do it! As otherwise we're doing them a disservice to ignore that aspect.
