This might be a weird question but to the original poster do you have a boom mic? If you do you can also use that as it is extremely directional and will actually do a great job. You can have the person being interviewed handhold it even though it'll look a little different from your standard handheld mic and go into the recorder such as H4n.
H4n is a great recorder. I would recommend that you get someone to help you record audio because it is a club situation and in that it can get crazy enough trying to get your shots. Also in a club there is a lot of commotion, more so than average shoots so I would recommend for that reason too.
