I tried to build an adapter... My lens is a 52mm thread size Ricoh? I used step down rings down to 55mm then next stacked 2 10x macro lenses THEN a UV filter for GG, then a 55mm spacer ring, then used another step down ring to get to 52mm for my lens... it's not quite right. Any suggestions?
 
Hey guys that are having trouble with the magnet trick: Go into your menu settings and turn off the "mirror" mode ( I think that's what it's called.) This orientate your footage correctly when you use the magnet.

Wow...the footages r pretty clean.. I guess its a shakey cuz it was rock's first attempt. Great job!

How heavy is the adapter, more or less? I use a Formatt box, and I want to be able to use the adapter with it if possible. What would I need to be able to use it with the mattbox? Thanks Mike!

Also, I live in Texas, what would be the total price, inlcuding shipping? One more thing, whats the going rate for $250.00 Canadian?
 
Yeah thats a really light matte box. if your using a BIG lens I would use rails! My35 is less then 1lb really solid!! Im not making money selling for $250 so I would like anyone that would like me to make one to add $10 for shipping

is it just a plain UV or has it been ground down? If your question pertains to your own adapter and not Mikes- you should post it in a new topic.
 
how wide is the viewing area when using this lens compared to the camera zoomed all the way out without the lens? also did you use a matte box to create the widescreen look or does the lens automatically do that?
 
yes just a uv filter. im working on the plans now with a how to clip. I have had alot of emails for me to make them but I can not make everyone an adapter. I just don't have the time and the gg is a pain in the ass to make....sorry
