look how amazing is the dvx100b up to hd

I think it has a sort of retro look too; not bad at all

But check your monitor calibration as the contrast seems non existent.

I acutally liked the mood of it.
had a nice retro look to it!

That's what I was thinking. All it needed was some cheesy stock 70's promo music and some dated looking titles and I would have totally believed it was a commercial from that time period.

yeah did'nt care for the quality, hard to tell with youtube's sweet 400kb/s, the editing was ok though, liked the overall flow

Try not to get too killed by the responses here.... HD is a relative thing and once you see true 1920 x 1080p natively it's hard to go back to anything blown up without it looking blurry or chunky. I think the DVX is passed it's time now, and your edit had something wrong with the 24p export... but certainly it was not horrible... but I did see blocks and some odd 24p not being properly done.

Keep working at it though sometimes you get blown away at your own stuff and you're doing well advancing and you don't have a lot of comparison and you can come on here and get a little shell shocked. We've all had that as we shoot learn and grow.

(Except me I was born with the all seeing inner eye of God's Camera...)

I kid I kid I joke I joke.

I am kinda weirded out by how some of you guys were on this post. Those aren't critiques, those are attacks, chill out. This forum means a lot to me, because it's a community. This isn't film school, and we aren't washed up, angry, professors here to crush dreams. If you don't have advice, don't be a jerk.

What do you mean by "attacks"?

This forum means a lot to me, because it's a community. This isn't film school, and we aren't washed up, angry, professors here to crush dreams. If you don't have advice, don't be a jerk.

The OP didn't ask for advice. He made the proclamation that his DVX100-shot video held up well to content sourced in High Definition and asked us all to look and, ostensibly, pat him on the back and give him kudos.

Unfortunately, the video isn't that...at all.

So what are we supposed to do? Hem and haw and eventually say, "Well, that's nice..."? He wanted an opinion and he got it.

It is too bad when people use horrible and terrible, over the top extremes, but something was off with the color even if customer wanted it that way. The editing, flow timing was really good. The burp at the end was not necessary, remember that was the last visual your client and customers saw and it was representing your service and product.

I personally didn't think the video was that horrible. I thought it had the retro 70's look to it. I think anytime you post something like this, you open yourself up to negative criticism as well as flat out bonehead comments as well. Just take whatever you can get from the comments to move forward and let the rest go. I also didn't care for the burp at the end of the video, but if that represents your company, so be it.
