short clip, low light testing with 7d for a film in july.

How does the colour look on you guys monitors? on mine which i use to colour...(dell ultrasharp 2209 WA) ...which gives darn near close to tru colours) it looks really nice. blacks are black with the hint of teal in the shadows. scene is contrasty. (yes i know u sholdnt use pc monitors....but this was highly recommended as giving tru colours after calibration, and i looked up alot of reviews).

When i check on my laptop (crappy hp pavillion) the colours are washed out and blacks have the blue tint. so just wondering how it looks on ur side.

oh the first shot is supposed to be a bit more blue though. :)

technical info if you'd like to know

ISO: 640
Tamron 17-55mm VC f2.8 @2.8
Neutral Picture style with sharpness and saturation all the way down i beleive.
lit by that kerosene lamp and a crappy low wattage clf in the ceiling.

shots which start at 1.23 are in a graveyard :) and the last shot is a grave

This description you gave...

....is exactly how I see it on my monitor. And it's also clean as a whistle.

jambredz, how it looks really depends on the intended output. If the majority of people will see your video on the net, then its fine. If youre looking more to broadcast quality you really need to run it out on a rec.709 calibrated monitor.

If youre on a mac and can export a few frames of each clip to prores HQ and upload somewhere Id be happy to run it out to my monitors and see how it looks.

thanks for the advise Noel. its much appreciated. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how u look on it :) ) i'm on a PC.
I can export it dnxhd if that helps ?!

On my PC and a very calibrated CRT (I use that monitor for grading and calibrate at least once a week) it has the typical - orange skin teal blacks look - which is so hip in the moment. A look you get out of the MOJO plug-in or can dial in by hand.
