I am hoping to get some suggestions for an improved workflow from P2 into FCP6. Currently I offload the P2 cards with P2 Genie onto a PC and external drive. I then connect that drive to my MAC and do log and transfer. Works great, but haven't found an easy way to cull clips.
I shoot a lot of wildlife scenes and so end up with way more footage than I want to load, but since I am going through it all I'd like to include those notes on the secondary clips as well... just in case. Currently I go through all the clips in the log and transfer and add notes etc, but I haven't found an easy way to just transfer, say my "a" list of clips....I have to load them all.
Is there software or a system to be able to go through all clips and add notes and even a separate comment like 1, 2, or 3 and then sort just the 1's and load those?
I have looked into Raylight briefly, but have not found the specifics that look like they will help me. Maybe I am missing it!
