Log & Transfer CRASHING w/720 Footage

I posted this in the workflow section but wasn't getting any bites. Sorry for the double posting, just need to solve this issue fast. Thanks.
Hey guys, need some help.

I'm running FCP 6.0.1

I wanted to do some slo-mo tests today with my new GH1. Shot in AVCHD, Rec Mode SH. Opened up FCP, went to log and transfer, and it opens up fine. I can preview the files, etc. BUT, when I drop them into the queue, FCP crashes.

So, I trash the preferences, repaired permissions, etc. Second try. Another crash.

I then tried my hand at rec modes H & L. Same issue.

Trashed preferences again. Reformatted card, etc.

Still having the same issue with rec modes SH, H, & L. But, FHD is still working.

Any ideas as to what's going on here? I'm pretty new to AVCHD, and I've heard some of the FCP gripes with handling AVCHD, but I was hoping not to encounter them. Apparently I should've knocked on wood. Thanks guys.

When you bring up the log and transfer window, how do you import your video files? Are they directly from the camera? or are they already on your computer?

I suggest that you store your files onto the computer first and then log and transfer.

I've tried both ways. Same thing happens if they're on the computer. Also tried doing it via a USB card reader.

Is it possible the clips produced on my GH1 at 720 could be corrupt somehow? I don't think that's the case, because like I said I can watch them in preview. Its only when they're dropped to the capture queue.

Forgot to mention I'm using a Transcend 16GB, Class 6 SDHC card. Don't know if that bit of info is necessary, but I honestly have no idea what the issue is.

Thanks dbwolfe. But, for some reason I'm having issues installing the upgrades. I also don't see a download for 6.0.2 on the FCP support page. There is one for 6.0.3, but it's telling me that my computer doesn't need the update.

I was able to run through the install for 6.0.5, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything since my FCP still says its version 6.0.1. Very confusing.

Final Cut should update through the automatic mac updates. (If you're running a legit copy)

If that doesn't work try uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

I also experienced this issue when i was importing 720 footage from the HMC. It was actually a Perian plug-in conflict that was causing it. As soon as I removed Perian, it went away.
