I can't seem to write to an sd card. Only read. It is unlocked and I've formatted it with the HPX170 camera. Is this a mac issue?
I want to load scene files from the cd that came with the book. I used the hpx170 camera to format the sd card. Then I used a card reader to access the SD on my mac. When I try to put the folder from the cd called PRIVATE on the card I get a message : The name "PRIVATE" can not be moved because "sd card" cannot be modified. The card is unlocked. The directions below from the Barry's CD say that this private file will replace one that is on the SD. The SD shows completely empty after I formatted. I'm probably skipping something really simple. I've tried different cards. When I "get info" on my sd card it says I have only "read" privilages.
Regarding the instructions on the cd:
To use these files, first format an SD card
in the camera. Then go into the appropriate
"SCENE FILES" directory on this CD, (such as
"HPX170 Scene Files"). Make sure you select
the directory that matches your camera exactly.
Then drag the "PRIVATE" directory onto the SD card,
replacing its "PRIVATE" directory. That should
copy all the appropriate directories and all their
contents onto the SD card.
