Loading Marvel's Cine 3.3 + T3i ???

Trying to confirm if I have it loaded it correctly.

I downloaded the pf2 file. Started the EOS utility and followed the directions to upload a profile.

It will only let me select "Register User Defined Style" when in one of the manual photo modes on the dial. I loaded the Marvel Cine 3.3 pf2 file to User Defined 1 in photo mode successfully.

It shows up under any of the manual photo modes, but I now only see "Standard" under User Defined 1 in video mode.

Currious if the T2i does the same thing or if this is something different on the T3i that won't let you upload a style under video mode? Or is the one that shows Marvel Cine 3.3 under manual photo mode actually loaded and working as Standard for User Defined 1 in video mode?

Cheers,
Pete

Try this: Before you hook the T3i up to the computer, switch it into TV mode, then plug it into the computer and re-try loading the file. I've had this problem with my T2i. For some reason it does not like when you have the camera in movie mode while trying to access the remote console to upload picture styles.

Thanks for the tip Rayden!!!

I just tried that and it wouldn't let me there. Hit the TV mode back and forth a few times and all of a sudden the Register User Defined line lit up. I hit it and while it wouldn't let me upload the Marvel Cine profile again, it let me select it as User defined 1 under video mode.

Go figure :)

In any case it appears as the User Defined profile 1 now and the video mode definitely has a different look than I've seen in the lcd.

Cheers,
Pete

i had the same thing with my t2i yesterday (the whole not letting me upload the picture style unless in a manual photo mode)....what you need to do is this:

- go into movie mode
- press menu
- go to the picture style option
- find the user defined one you uploaded the style to (in your case 1)
- then press DISP.
- then press SET on the top most option
- now scroll through till you find it, i think it shows up as "Marvels Adva"
