LL 30p or 60i on DVX100B

Hey I'm getting my DVX100B this week and I'm just learning how to use it and I was wondering which is better to shoot long lens with, 30p or 60i?

Ryan,

Congrats on the new cam!

It really all kind of depends on what you are trying to do, specifically, I mean.

I'm going to take a stab and say that most people in these forums probably shoot 24p advanced (which is setting 6 on your scene file dial). But it just kind of depends on what your are trying to do.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and if your 100B doesn't come with Barry Green's book - BUY IT!

Sometimes you can even find it used in the marketplace section.

It will REALLY get you up to speed on your camera much more quickly than trying to go it alone.

You'll thank yourself later.

i flm my long lens stuff in 24p... with the double shutter as frame rate rule... using a shutter of the 1 /48.8

and i do my fisheye shots in 30p with a shutter of 1/60....

the higher the shutter you go, the less pronounced the "progressive" effect is....

oh, and i have a century mk2 lens... incase youw ere wondering? haha
