live webcasting with dvx

you can do it with a mac and a darwin server, which I hear is good, but have not had any real experience with. i may try this for a web cast in March.

I think there is also a simple Windows solution as well

To mikko yes i want this to be live, This whole thing came about when my internship which is a sail boat show called lattidutes and atitudes wants to live broads cast there house band I guess you could call it over the web. And were going to do it with some little web cam. And I stepped in and said no no no. There has to be a way to do it with dvx. So it got me another gig and the owner now see's me as not some dumb intern someone who can kinda think on his feet even if it dont work. Though my camera did take a spill today shooting. luckly it fell on the mic and shoe side and those took the blunt of the fall and it seems to be working right. But i still might send her in for a look over after this Boat show. But I still Need some feed back on this Live board casting over the web with A DVX, whats the best software perhaps, server, and of course im already using a mac. Duh. Thanks for the help so far guys.

Ok, now im in between persons for who will be the computer server/ switch board and so on person if it comes down to being like that but, they say they have great bandwidth, and that between my dvx and a power book a the apple broadcaster would do the trick, going from the camera to the mac. and fom the camera to the sound board?

i played with it a little bit. I had a stream going but it seemed I could only get it to stream online to the computers on my network. I tried to send the link to someone else and it would not pick up. The sofware is pretty cool though.
