These are stills from a live show I taped a couple of weeks ago.

Preset: Spark, with 60i, WB (white card)
Coloring in Vegas 8.0, with a preset called "Bourne II" (after Matt Damon).
16x9 squeeze mode

Stage had a few track lighting pointing down at an angle in front of the band (top of stage) and a black curtain behind them. I did not set this up, just showed up and started the camera. Came out with a look that the band really liked and it has gotten me some other work out of it.

This camera still has plenty to offer anyone.

60i and squeeze never play well together. These stills show that. I really like the color grading, but the interlacing that is exacerbated by the 60i/squeeze combination is very noticeable.

Would you recommend 30p versus the 60i then?

My personal taste is 24pA. If using squeeze, anything progressive is better than 60i.

Very good, I was using 2 cameras, this one and an HV20. 60i was the easiest for me to start with. I have a HV30 now, so I can go with a 30p on both. I will also try the 24pa option, never have used it.
